Microsoft Stream: Pay-as-you-go transcript translations
Make your content more inclusive by creating videos that your coworkers can easily view and understand in their primary language. Transcript translations in Stream (on SharePoint) give you the option to translate the transcript and closed captions of your Stream videos into more than 100 supported languages. To enable translations Admins must first setup billing using an Azure subscription, then they must be enable the feature in the M365 Admin center. Once enabled translations are billed via pay-as-you-go meters.

Microsoft Stream: Add video to a playlist from an embedded video
Users will be able to add a video to a playlist directly from embedded videos across Microsoft 365 (SharePoint pages, Outlook, teams, Viva Engage, etc.) without having to open the video in Stream.

Microsoft Stream: video reactions
This feature will allow users to add or remove reactions to specific points of a recorded video via Stream Web App and Embed. Viewers will be able to see how their colleagues feel about a video and show their support towards the video owner. These reactions will be present in the timeline to highlight the most important parts of the video and can be used for navigation. Also, owners of the video can see detailed analytics about when viewers are reacting to videos and have ability to disable the feature.

Reminder: Stream (Classic) retires on April 15, 2024, and all unmigrated videos will be deleted
Microsoft will retire Stream (Classic) on April 15, 2024 and all videos on Stream (Classic) will be deleted after the retirement date. Stream (Classic) has already been auto disabled for end users, and admins can delay this change till the retirement date. Admins must migrate their tenant’s Stream (Classic) data to Stream (on SharePoint) before the retirement date to prevent data loss.
SharePoint: Section Background
SharePoint now allows you to add an image or gradient color to the sections of the page from a new set of options, including image settings to ensure readability. With this release, we’re providing authors to make beautiful pages with featured sections.

We’ve enhanced the focal point and introduced more settings like fill mode, overlay, opacity to help you adhere to accessibility best practices and make sure that your contents are clear and readable with customized background. Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – Enhanced Classification Support for Thai language in Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
In our continued efforts to enhance classification capabilities, we have added a new feature, Word-Breaker, to our existing Thai Language support in Classification. Words in Thai language sentences do not have spaces between them. And for classification purpose, we relied on the right keywords to be added while creating Sensitive Information Type for ensuring accurate match. However, with this feature, spaces will be added automatically in keywords which will ensure higher match accuracy across all cloud locations (Exchange, Teams, One Drive, SharePoint).

Microsoft Outlook: OneDrive for Business opens in Outlook on the web
Quickly access your OneDrive for Business files without leaving Microsoft Outlook on the web! Previously, the OneDrive for Business button in Outlook on the web opened a new tab for OneDrive. With this change, you will see OneDrive folders and files inside of Outlook for the web, for a consistent and fast experience
Microsoft Lists: Updated Lists in Team Sites, Lists progressive web app (PWA), and Teams
This update improves the overall performance of Lists in Microsoft SharePoint and introduces new features, including the ability to add ratings to any list, drag and/or paste images directly into a list, see who is collaborating with you in real-time, switch views by clicking tabs, and more.

Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365: OneDrive – Share Word Documents with AI summary
Users can now opt to include an AI-generated document summary inside the share dialog when they share a Word document with other users. The document summary is included in the share notification email sent to the recipient(s) giving them more context around the contents of the shared document. This feature is only enabled for customers with a Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 license and works only when sharing a Word for the web file.
Microsoft SharePoint news for email now supports custom template tab settings and wider posts
News for email is a new type of News template that authors can use to convert SharePoint News posts into distributions for Microsoft Outlook for Windows email inboxes. You can now engage your audience directly in their Outlook for Windows inbox and track their mail reads.

System generated emails from workflows and alerts will now show SharePoint Online as the sender display name
Microsoft has made some changes to system generated emails from SharePoint workflows and alerts display names.
To align system generated emails with best practices, SharePoint Online workflow and alert emails will be displayed as “SharePoint Online”. There is no change to the underlying sending email address, no-reply@sharepointonline.com.
Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Audit – New Exchange and SharePoint Logs for Microsoft Purview Audit Standard Users
Microsoft Purview is expanding access to wider cloud security activity events for Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint. As part of the changes, standard users of Purview Audit will begin to generate four new Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint events that were previously generated only for Audit Premium licensed users: MailItemsAccessed, Send, SearchQueryInitiatedExchange, and SearchQueryInitiatedSharepoint. The following logs will differ based on the user’s license and additional metadata will be added to Exchange logs when the user is assigned an Audit Premium license: SensitivityLabel for MailItemsAccessed.
