One of the features mentioned by both Chat GPT and Bing when I asked about what features to add to a SharePoint intranet landing page, was the events calendar.
This one seems obvious but having a classic monthly or weekly calendar view in an intranet landing page wastes a lot of valuable space and does not add much value. Instead of using the traditional calendar I’m using instead the modern and good-looking events web part.
When I asked ChatGPT and Bind about what to add to a SharePoint intranet landing page, both mentioned news and personalized content.

SharePoint branding has a soft spot in my heart, changing the way SharePoint looks like was how I started my career creating custom themes for SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010. This is the reason why I’m starting this project by creating the intranet branding with the help of Chat GPT and Bing.
In the modern days of SharePoint branding means a completely different thing than it meant in the past, the available options are limited but this doesn’t mean we can’t apply a solid corporate brand to a SharePoint site with a bit of creativity.
The hype around ChatGPT and Bing is huge these days and to test their power I decided to ask them what should be in an intranet landing page.
